COMMUNITY SUPPORT

At the heart of this project, is Oakland, the people and the organizations that make this such a wonderful place to be. Our primary goal is to make One Lake Merritt a gamechanger in terms of what a community can expect from a redevelopment project. 1LM is a market-driven solution addressing a host of community-based challenges, generating impressive levels of economic impact and creating a wide range of opportunities for Oakland residents.

In addition to the economic and community benefits, 1LM also creates a tremendous new asset for the arts in Oakland, fulfilling its rightful position as an international epicenter for the arts, but in a true Oakland kind of way.

All of the following community leaders and organizations wrote a letter of support for inclusion in our proposal submission or were listed as a supporter, and many more have lent their support since and in other ways. We are humbled by the unprecedented levels of cross-sectoral cooperation that we've been able to achieve.
